Embody Energy & Mia Esquivel
Mia's journey with bodywork began as a child, introduced to massage and energy work by her mom. This foundational experience built established trust in her body's ability to heal (and just plain feel better through touch).
Graduating from Spectrum Center School of Massage in Washington in 1999 she obtained state licensure. In 2002 she dove back in to deepen her understanding of the body and mind graduating from the Soma Institute as a Certified Soma Neuromuscular Integrator. Before moving to California she ran her own private practice for 6 years in Washington. She is currently licensed in the state of California and continues to develop her practice by following her insatiable curiosity about the body and mind through taking courses and developing her work through her professional practice. Mia continues to expand her understanding of the mind body connection and how stay connected, calm and curious through continual study with her professional peer study group. We are better together!

Fluid movement, resilient bodies, feeling connected to the incredible agency we have in us to change and heal. Mia's healing journey is fueled by her wild love of the mountains; she adores hiking and swimming the rivers and cold mountain lakes. Healing is a long game, a game that requires consistent focus and most importantly a really juicy yummy BIG outcome that excites you. The pain gets the ball rolling, the love of hiking (or whatever you really love) keeps you doing the work on the daily.
